Не сра́зу всё устро́илось,
Москва́ не сра́зу стро́илась,
Слова́м Москва́ не ве́рила,
А ве́рила любви́.
Cнега́ми запоро́шена,
Листво́ю заворо́жена,
Найдёт тепло́ прохо́жему,
А де́ревцу - земли́.

Not at once it all turned out right,
Moscow was not built at once,
Moscow did not believe in words,
But (it) believed in love.
Covered (powdered) with snow,
Charmed by foliage,
It will find the warmth for a passerby
And for a little tree/sapling - (some) land.

This city is ours (with you).
We have become its destiny,
Look intently in its face.
No matter what it was at the beginning,
It will soothe/quench all sorrows.
So eventually, the Garden Ring
has become a wedding one (ring) for us.

Москву́ ряби́ны кра́сили,
Дубы́ стоя́ли кня́зями.
Но не они́, а я́сени
Без спро́су наросли́.
Москва́ не зря наде́ется,
Что вся в листву́ оде́нется,
Москва́ найдёт для де́ревца
Хоть кра́ешек земли́.

The rowan trees were painting Moscow.
The oaks were standing like princes.
But it were not them, but the ash trees
Which have grown all over without (asking for a) permission.
Moscow is hoping not in vain (for good reason)
That it all will get dressed up into the foliage
Moscow will find for a little tree/sapling
At least a little piece (edge) of land.

What's there whirling in front of us?
It is an ash tree
Is spinning Waltz with the seeds above the pavement.
The ash tree with rustic air
Has joined the Viennese waltzes.
It will make it (break through), Alexandra,
It will breathe Moscow enough/a lot.

Москва́ трево́г не пря́тала,
Москва́ вида́ла вся́кое.
Но бе́ды все и го́рести
Склоня́лись пе́ред ней.
Любо́вь Москвы́ не бы́страя,
Но ве́рная и чи́стая.
Поско́льку матери́нская
Любо́вь други́х сильне́й.

Moscow did not hide worries,
Moscow has seen all sorts of things/anything.
But all misfortunes and sorrows
Bowed/bended before her.
Moscow's love is not fast,
But faithful/loyal and pure.
Because mother's love
Is stronger than others (other loves).
